Water Projects

Shaukat & Raza has extensive experience of constructing concrete, steel, ductile iron, uPVC and PE pipelines. Water lines begin from 4-inch diameter for raw and treated water. Sewage lines vary from 12-inches to 90-inches. Our EPC construction of water treatment plants includes a 25 million gallons per day and a 70 million litres per day potable water treatment plant and a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of one hundred thousand gallons per day.

The largest trunk main sewer in Pakistan was built 28 feet deepby Shaukat & Raza through crowded streets in Faisalabad, with a high ground water table requiring constant dewatering during construction. Since 90-inch pipes had not yet been built in Pakistan, the company also designed and built a mini-factory to produce this pipe to ASTM standards in-house. Additionally, a 3m x 3m reinforced concrete conduit was built for conveying 100 million gallons raw water daily for Karachi.

For the 69 km length Salinity Control and Reclamation Project funded by the World Bank, Shaukat & Raza constructed lined canals of 600 and 950 cusec capacity as part of SCARP VI. Reservoirs of various capacities from 6 up to 110 million gallons have been designed and built, including an award-winning reservoir, designed and completed in 1986.
